Dihedral Color Filtering

Dr. Reiner Lenz, Linköping University, Sweden

In my lecture I will describe a general methodology to design linear filter systems for low-level image processing. These filters are defined on regular grids (like the square or hexagonal grids or cubic grids in 3D) and share many of the basic characteristics of the DFT and FFT filters on the real line. We will illustrate the application of these filters with examples from image retrieval and usage in auto-focus applications.

The lectures are currently scheduled for July 27th.
