Prof. Dr. Lutz Priese, University of Koblenz
A segment is a connected set of pixels of similar color (or value). A segmentation is a disjunct set of segments of an image. Several techniques to get a segmentation are introduced and compared, including color connected components, watershed, recursive histogram splitting, split-and-merge and the 2d- and 3d- CSC.
The lectures are currently scheduled for August 2nd.
